9/7/16 The upper arm is 66% of the length of the Lower arm (Lower is 18" eye-to-eye). The length and angle gives some camber gains at bump.

You can now tell this will be a GM LS based drivetrain. LS3 variant with a dry sump oil system.
What you cannot see behind the rear wheel is the transaxle. Weddle HV25. Weddle has a bell housing that bolts direct to the block. No modifications or fussiness, and it looks so pretty.
7/11/2016 The cage is about 4" taller than I wanted, but that is just the way it goes for us tall guys. I am sick of rubbing my head on the roof of every car I drive. The floorboard will still be 3-7" from the street, so it will be tough to get-in-and-out of.
Also, the A-Pillar is 6" more forward to help the cabin feel less closterphobic. There really is no need for a tiny cockpit, this is not Le Mans.
6/18/2016 Played with the numbers on the transaxle. Weddle's website is very cool and allows full customization at your fingertips.
I went for the HV25 (their 5 speed unit).
The tire size may be a little taller than shown. Yeah, that's fast.

I haven't made a move on them yet, but the plan is to go with the Porsche 934 CV joints and have axles made.
The shifter is ready for pickup. I need to go get that thing. It is supposed to be a showpiece all by itself.

6/18/2016 whipped up a chassis jig this week, 4" square tube 37" X 152"
60 feet of 1-1/2" .095 and 60 feet of 1-3/4" .095 due in on Monday
9/1/16 The scaffold is set-up off the jig for a 2 degree camber and a wheel base of 78"
I created another jig for the upper and lower arms. The caster angle is 7 degrees at all 4 corners. The knuckle or upright is from the C5/C6 corvette .
1/10/17 Steering Rack is from C5 corvette. Arms are 2" longer on each wheel. Slight bump steer on bump; wheel turns in about 3/16" for 4" of travel.
Seating position is excellent. No compromises. There may be some visibility issues at a stop light. The Halo tube is in the line-of-sight looking up at a 45 degree angle; we'll see...
